A 360/VR short film for the Swiss Metallbau Union — produced for SwissBau 2016 at the Basel Messe, the largest building materials event in Switzerland. Filmed inside the BernMobile Tramdepot and Bern Bahnhof, combining 360 imaging with VR animation to show steel as a living, future-oriented material.

The Swiss Metallbau Union needed to communicate the potential of steel as a building material in a way that static exhibit stands cannot achieve — putting visitors inside the structures themselves, feeling the scale and craft of steel construction.
Working with Vision360, a Swiss leader in 360 imaging, we filmed inside the BernMobile Tramdepot — a beautifully constructed space of steel trusses and columns — and at the Bern Bahnhof. Animations were produced using Adobe After Effects, Red Giant Trapcode, Element 3D, and Mettle Skybox Studio to blend filmed footage with constructed futures.
For the SwissBau 2016 event, we delivered custom Google Cardboard viewers so participants could watch the "Metallbau hat Zukunft" 360 video on-site. We also launched spaces360.ch as a companion landing page to help visitors load 360 video on iOS and Android.
Deployed at SwissBau 2016 at the Basel Messe — one of Switzerland's largest industry events with tens of thousands of visitors. The experience gave the Swiss Metallbau Union a genuinely immersive presence at the fair, demonstrating VR's commercial viability for Swiss trade marketing before the medium had gone mainstream.
